It’s June and that mean it’s time to start thinking about senior portraits!
I’ve been taking senior portraits for over ten years and most of the parents I talk with have many questions about how things work.
There is a TON of information thrown at you but rest easy. With hundreds of formal yearbook photos under my belt, you’re in good hands!
Here are some FAQ to help you out!
Senior Yearbook Portraits – Charlottesville Virginia
HOW MUCH ARE YOUR SESSIONS AND WHAT IS INCLUDED?
- I’ve tried to keep it simple for you.
- The price that you see listed on each package, is all that you will have to pay to download your photos.
- The number of photos you receive depends on your package.
- There are no hidden fees or minimum purchase amounts.
YOU HAVE THREE YEARBOOK OPTIONS:
BASIC YEARBOOK SESSION – $150
- ONE TUX/DRAPE IMAGE ON A GREY BACKGROUND
- ONE IMAGE – ONE CASUAL OUTFIT -ONE BACKGROUND
UPGRADED YEARBOOK SESSION – $300
- ONE TUX/DRAPE IMAGE ON A GREY BACKGROUND
- FOUR IMAGES – TWO CASUAL OUTFITS – TWO BACKGROUNDS
DELUXE YEARBOOK SESSION – $500
- ONE TUX/DRAPE IMAGE ON A GREY BACKGROUND
- TEN IMAGES – THREE CASUAL OUTFITS – THREE BACKGROUNDS
DO YOU OFFER JUST THE SINGLE YEARBOOK PHOTO?
- Due to the large number of senior I photograph, I no longer offer the single yearbook photo.
- The only exception to this is if you’ve scheduled an outdoor session with me.
- I know it may seem odd but one year I photographed over 300 seniors!
- That is just too many people for me to handle on my own!
CAN I SEE THE PHOTOS IMMEDIATELY?
- Most definitely!
- My camera is hooked up to my laptop so you can immediately see how things are looking.
- This helps make sure your hair and expression are exactly how you want them to be!
DO YOU INCLUDE RETOUCHING?
- Basic cosmetic retouching is included in your session fee and I cater it to your specifications.
- No worries if something pops up on your face before your session, no one will know but you and me!
BUT WHAT IF I’M SUNBURNED?
- If it’s just a tiny bit of lingering red skin, I can take care of that!
- If you have a major sunburn and your skin is peeling, you should reschedule.
DO YOU PROVIDE THE TUX OR DRAPE?
- Yes I do!
- I have a the tux shirt, jacket and tie. All you need is a t-shirt to wear under the shirt.
- For the drape, wear a strapless bra/tank top so you can tuck the straps under your arms.
- I have several types of pearls and necklaces should you need them!
WHEN SHOULD I SCHEDULE MY SENIOR YEARBOOK SESSION?
- Yearbook photos are typically taken the summer before your senior year.
- I schedule the majority of them them in June, July & August. This can be extended, especially if you have braces or have been away all summer.
- The most important thing is to be aware of your school’s deadline.
DO I NEED A PARENT TO COME ALONG?
- Parent are more than welcome to come along, but it is not required.
- Whatever works best for you and your family’s schedule works for me!
IS IT REQUIRED TO ORDER PRINTS FROM YOU?
- Not al all!
- All of my packages include a print release form.
- This which means if you’d rather print your photos elsewhere, feel free!
- You may print them wherever you want, as many times as you want!
IS IT POSSIBLE TO ORDER PRINTS FROM YOU?
- Absolutely! I actually recommend it!
- CVS and Walmart are great for a lot of things, but photo printing isn’t at the top of my list!
- All of my sessions come with your own password protected gallery of digital images. From this gallery, you may print whatever you’d like.
- Family or friends may also order through your gallery. Their order will be shipped right to their door!
HOW MUCH DO YOUR PRINTS COST?
- They’re very reasonable and the quality is outstanding!
- The price varies depending on the size you order but an 8×10 or a set of wallets is $9.99.
- Way more affordable than what you’re used to when buying photos of your kids!
SHOULD I INCLUDE MY SPORT OR HOBBY INTO MY SESSION?
- If it’s a big part of your life, then let’s do it!
- You definitely want your session to reflect who you are at this time in your life.
- Sports, music, art, if you’re into, let me capture it as part of your story!
DO I NEED TO SEND MY YEARBOOK PHOTO TO THE SCHOOL?
I’ll size it to their specific dimensions and will send it to the school myself!
