Hannah | Albemarle High School | 2017 – Senior Portraits Charlottesville

Tonight on my blog we have Hannah, a beautiful senior from Albemarle High School’s Class of 2017. I first met Hannah & her mom Jenni at Starbucks one afternoon in September. I’m sure it can be a little nerve-wracking to have a portrait session when you’ve never even met the photographer before! That’s why I love having in person consultations before the actual session date.  We went over hair, make-up & outfit choices for the session. I also showed examples of the different areas we could use for the session.

The day of the session, we met at my studio. My make-up artist Sydney, talked with Hannah about the style of make-up she wanted and then worked her magic. She does an excellent job of making you look polished but still yourself!  Since we were having her session after school, we had to keep it short and sweet. Hannah was a quick change artist and managed to squeeze four different outfits into the hour-long session! It worked out perfectly and we were able to capture both the beautiful golden light of the sun as it started setting and the amazing tones that occur just after it’s dropped below the horizon.

Thanks for a fantastic afternoon Hannah & Jenni! Hannah you are so beautiful and are such a joy to be around! I really enjoyed spending the afternoon with you both and look forward to the rest of your session in the spring!
