Today on the blog we have Maddie, a gorgeous senior from Fluvanna County High School Class of 2020’s Senior Portrait Photographers Charlottesville Virginia!

Maddie is on my Creative Team for the Class of 2020 and I love having her as part of the group! Our first session was a super quick studio meetup. It was a great way for me to meet my Creative Team and get them used to being in front of the camera.
I decided to put my camera on a tripod, set a 2 second timer to go off 20 times and let it go! It was so much fun seeing what they came up with. Especially when I put the antique phone in front of them and told them to play around with it. I don’t think anyone on the team had used a rotary phone before!
One of the great parts about being on the AJP Creative Team is in addition to your regulars senior portraits, you also have the opportunity to participate in the interesting themed shoots that I love so much. You are also the people I turn to when I update my marketing materials, teach lighting classes or when I just want to get creative and try something new.
Our next session was a perfect example of trying something new. We used a combination outfits that Maddie brought with her and clothes & jewelry from my style closet for a fun fashion styled session!
Her Dr Martens and a leather jacket from my style closet… so fabulous!!
Maddie also modeled for me (along with Carrie, another member of my 2020 Creative Team) when I taught a lighting class. I swear, it seems like awesome sunsets follow these girls around!
For her senior portraits, we headed to a beautiful nearby farm. It was a fantastic location and Maddie’s outfits were so perfect for the surroundings! Not to mention, after all the heat we’d had, we lucked out with great weather!
Check out that killer smile…over the top beautiful!!
Maddie, you are so cute!! Without a doubt these are some of the most adorable photos I’ve ever taken!! <3
Next we headed to Sheridan Stables where Maddie has been riding her ponies for 10 years. I love when seniors incorporate their hobbies into their sessions so I was really excited to shoot there…especially when I saw they had a swing!!!
I wish I had a video of Maddie jumping on Piper! It was so effortless you would have sworn she was getting on a bed. One quick jump and she was up there!
Maddie and Poetry in Motion (Piper’s show name) won the Forrest Linton Pony Classic Champion Award in 2019. Look at Piper showing of that awesome ribbon! 🙂
We ended the session with photos of Maddie’s other pony Leo (show name Little Einstein). What a cutie pie! I couldn’t stop talking about how adorable his little bangs were!
Thank you Maddie and Terri for a super fun afternoon! I had so much fun with you guys and look forward to next time!!
