Dona C Edwards – Fashion with a Curve – Branding Headshot Photography
I’ve had the pleasure of working with Dona twice for her photography needs. She first contacted me because she needed a new headshot for her social media platforms and more importantly, her TEDxGreensboro talk – Adapt to Life’s Curveballs with Fashion!
For her first session, we focused on one outfit and one background. This was the photo that would be used as her speaker bio on the TEDxGreensboro website. They would also use this headshot for their marketing needs about her being a 2022 speaker.

Fashionable Adaptive Clothing Fulfills Dreams of People with Disabilities and Changes Lives.
What if: fashion companies change their thinking about disabilities, create a culture of diversity and inclusion; make a collective effort to design one piece of fashionable adaptive clothing/shoes and those who aren’t in the industry, invest in the companies. Some people with disabilities dream about fashion and are forgotten. There is a unique opportunity for the fashion industry to create more ways for people with disabilities to really live in every facet of their life.

While there is a definite need for traditional headshots, (company websites, LinkedIn, etc) branding headshot photography is a little different. A branding headshot is a personalized photoshoot that showcases you, your style and your personality.
Dona had so many amazing outfits, it was a struggle picking which ones to choose! We decided to have a different color backdrop for each look.
I really think the colors go with the vibe of each outfit!
I told Dona she looked like a super hero with this incredible purple duster!
During the session, we captured so many different emotions and looks!
