I’m loving sharing these themed sessions! My 2016 models had color inspired sessions and the 2017 models had icon sessions. We had a blast planning and photographing those but for the class of 2018, I decided that I wanted to change things up. I picked four different themes and I let my models pick the theme that they liked best. The first three, Warrior Women , Old Hollywood and Victorian Gothic turned out great!
For my last themed session, we chose Vintage Fashion. This session was a little different that the ones I’ve had in the past. I’m an absolute fool for dramatic lighting and moody images but for Vintage Fashion, we went another route. I wanted this session to have a fun, 50s vibe while still being fashionable. We used classic glass Coca-Cola bottles with striped straws, bubble gum and vintage sunglasses as props. Oh and the girls wore petticoats under their swing dresses. It was so freaking cute!!
All four of the models had their hair styled by one of my all time favorite people, Mary Neifert. It’s always so much fun working with her. I just show her a few examples from my Pinterest board and she gives me perfect results!! The makeup was done by Jilian Stutz and Sydney Small. These wonderful hair and makeup gurus absolutely captured my vision!
