Lily | KGHS – Class of 2017 – Senior Portraits Charlottesville
I hope everyone is having a wonderful New Year! I’m playing catch up with adding senior portrait sessions to my website and one of my goals is to get it updated as soon as possible. Last fall was my busiest season ever and I am honored that so many people have chosen me to take their senior portraits in the Charlottesville area !
Tonight on my blog we have Lily, beautiful senior from King George High School’s Class of 2017. I’ve been close friends with Lily’s parents for over 20 years and first saw Lily when she was about a week old. It blows my mind that enough time has gone by for her to be a senior! I still remember her as a crazy wild little kid with a fantastic fashion sense. She still has an awesome sense of style. Check out the two photos below of her in the hats…she rocked it at six and at sixteen!
Over the years I’ve taken a bunch of photos of Lily. They have ranged from some quick snapshots before I became a professional photographer to having actual sessions after I started my business. She’s always been totally at ease in front of the camera and I’ve loved watching her grow up in to the gorgeous young woman she is. Plus she loves old records and music…she’s a girl after my own heart!
We had her session at a shopping complex here in Charlottesville. I’d never had a session there before but always thought it would make a great location because it has lots of interesting textures and colors. It was overcast and looked like it was going to rain at any second so I actually shot this whole session without using my lights. This is a big deal for me because I love my lights and use them at every session! It was actually a good thing that I wasn’t using them because we were able to move in and out of the different areas very quickly. Lily is so beautiful and I love the way her eyes just pop out of the frame!
So in love with this shot of Lily!!! She always does a fantastic job with her makeup, I swear if she lived closer to me, I’d hire her as one my makeup artists for my sessions!
We finished up her session at Darden, one of my go-to locations in Charlottesville. Man oh man Lily…you are absolutely gorgeous!
Thanks so much for a wonderful session Lily. I always loved spending time with you and hope you have a wonderful rest of your senior year!
